Embracing the Blurred Line

Originally released in 2002 as a 2-disc album, Embracing the Blurred Line is a work which aims to explore music as pure expression. Expression of emotions, ideas, and the intangible. Harmonies weave forwards and backwards, a barrage of black and white keys using melody and dissonance to communicate ideas. In this way, it is not "music" as is normally understood, but abstract storytelling.

The story is intentionally open-ended, but it does follow a theme of time. The pulsing and incessant bass notes symbolize moments, whether they are seconds, minutes, or years. The songs are an invitation to embrace moments and emotions as they bleed into one another, to zone out from ego and expectations, and to simply experience and accept life as it comes.

All songs are fully improvised and recorded live.
